China’s regional flavors showcased in Manila
Chinese cuisine, with its rich heritage, diverse flavors, and sophisticated cooking techniques, has captivated the world.
A prime example of this global fascination is the documentary TV series, “A Bite of China,” which has resonated deeply with audiences across cultures.
On Wednesday evening, November 20, the Chinese Cultural Courier @ the Philippines launched an event that celebrated China’s regional cuisines from Anhui, Guangdong, and Fujian provinces.
The event featured a vibrant tapestry of culinary delights, including a photo exhibition, classical instrumental performances, and live cooking demonstrations by chefs.
“Eating is the ultimate heavenly pleasure, which reflects exactly the significance of food in ordinary living,” cited Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian, referencing an old Chinese saying.
This immersive experience, the ambassador added, “enabled a great many Filipino friends to learn more about the diversity of Chinese culture, while experiencing tantalizing surprises.”
