Imee Marcos weighs in on Duterte-Marcos rift
Senator Imee Marcos made it clear that she does not want to be involved in the ongoing tension between her brother, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and Vice President Sara Duterte.
Speaking to the media on Friday after attending the official opening of the new Pampang Public Market in Angeles City, she acknowledged the reports suggesting that the Vice President could be impeached due to her critical remarks against her brother are causing her significant concern.
She then sighed and said, “Hay nako, ipagdasal na lang natin silang lahat.”
It is worth noting that the senator had previously revealed she played a key role in establishing the “Uniteam” alliance between Marcos Jr. and Duterte during their campaign in the 2022 elections.
A few days ago, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, a known ally of the Dutertes, urged her to intervene and help resolve the rift between the Marcos and Duterte camps, citing her “history of fostering unity” during the election campaign.
