Albert Martinez brings wellness philosophy to business with Seven107 Market launch

Award-winning Filipino actor Albert Martinez is taking his long-held views on healthy living into business with the launch of Seven107 Market, positioning wellness not just as a personal practice, but as a growing consumer market.

The 65-year-old Martinez frames healthy living simply: it is built on discipline, moderation, and daily care—habits, he says, that matter more than quick fixes.

Speaking about wellness as part of everyday life, he urged younger generations, particularly those entering the entertainment industry, to pay closer attention to personal care and nutrition. For the veteran actor, whose career has spanned decades in Philippine television, staying fit and maintaining a youthful presence are inseparable from professional survival.

“Since we are here in the industry, you must look young and be aware of what is out there or have the proper skin care and how to protect yourself from all the elements,” Martinez said. “We really need a partner that will protect us and keep us young. We want a protected partner to stay young.”

Yet he frames wellness as more than appearance. Martinez emphasized restraint and consistency, recalling lessons he learned from the late Eddie Garcia, a towering figure in Philippine cinema known for his longevity both on and off screen.

“What important is your lifestyle and you do not abuse yourself,” he said. “Everything should be in moderation and that was what I learned from the late Eddie Garcia. He said you will be fine if you avoid drinking to much alcohol and smoking. Proper skincare is important, and you eat healthy.”

Martinez said he shares such guidance with younger actors he mentors, focusing on sustaining a career rather than dictating artistic choices. “I do mentoring and advice them how to sustain their career except for acting unless they ask for it,” he said.

That philosophy now extends beyond the screen. Martinez has brought his advocacy for disciplined living into business, joining forces with businessman Mike Atayde and content creator Jose Llamas to launch Seven107 Market, a platform positioned as a one-stop destination for modern health and skincare products.

“This product is my life,” Martinez said. “It is a commitment and you owe it to your fans or audiences to be healthy and a good example on top of the game. There are many prohibitions but that what it is.”

The venture reflects a broader shift in the Philippines, where demand is growing for wellness products that blend traditional ingredients with science-led formulations. The founders, spanning different generations, said their approach combines lived experience with evolving research on ageing and preventive care.

NMN Lifestyle Moringa Soap

Among the initial offerings is the NMN Lifestyle Moringa Soap, formulated with moringa leaf and moringa oil extracts rich in antioxidants; vitamins A, C and E; and essential fatty acids. The formulation is aimed at helping protect the skin from environmental stress, support hydration, and improve overall skin texture and tone.

The company said the product also combines NMN, or nicotinamide mononucleotide—a compound linked to cellular energy and ageing processes—with Officinol, a proprietary ingredient used in cosmetic formulations, positioning it within a growing category of longevity-focused skincare.

Exclusively available through Seven107 Market, the launch signals plans for a wider portfolio designed to bring advanced ingredients into everyday routines.

For Martinez, however, the message remains unchanged: the principles of healthy living he applies to his own life now shape a business built around everyday wellness.
