Nemetschek Group broadens Southeast Asia push through Philippines, Vietnam partnerships

Nemetschek Group is expanding its Southeast Asian footprint, with partnerships in the Philippines focused on connected digital workflows for live projects and professional development, alongside efforts in Vietnam to build digital capabilities among the next generation of built environment professionals.

Nemetschek APAC Pte. Ltd., part of the global construction software provider, said it has established 10 partnerships and engagements across the Philippines and Vietnam involving industry groups, professional organizations, and educational institutions.

The expansion comes as construction companies continue to work across multiple software platforms and disciplines, often leaving project information fragmented between design, construction, and building operations. Nemetschek said its regional strategy aims to improve how information is created, exchanged, and managed throughout the building lifecycle.

“Digital transformation in the built environment is ultimately about how information moves between disciplines, between technologies, and across the lifecycle of a building,” said Jonathan Ng, managing director for Southeast Asia at Nemetschek Group.

“Firms need interoperable workflows that work on real projects, while professionals entering the industry need to understand how digital information is structured, exchanged and used. What we are building across Southeast Asia reflects those two sides of the transition. In the Philippines, we are working with industry to connect more of the project lifecycle. In Vietnam, we are engaging the education sector around the capabilities future professionals will need. They are different interventions, but they address the same underlying shift towards a more connected built environment,” Ng added.

Philippines: Connecting project delivery

In the Philippines, Nemetschek’s partnerships cover live project delivery as well as professional development and architectural education.

A key collaboration is with Aidea Inc. on a major health care project involving St. Luke’s Medical Center. The initiative is intended to bring together digital tools and project information across multiple stages of project delivery.

Aidea uses several Nemetschek Group solutions, including Archicad for architectural design, ALLPLAN for structural detailing, Solibri for quality checking, dRofus for project programming, Bluebeam for communication and documentation, RISA for engineering workflows, and dTwin for capturing asset information for facilities management.

“Over the years, we have seen that digital transformation goes far beyond architects using BIM. We want our design process to be highly collaborative, with different disciplines able to work together more seamlessly, while also extending our involvement beyond design into the wider lifecycle of the building,” said Aidea president Abelardo “Jojo” Tolentino Jr.

“Our relationship with the Nemetschek Group goes back more than 20 years. This collaboration gives us an opportunity to bring different technologies together on a significant project, test new ways of working, and continue evolving how we deliver projects for our clients,” Tolentino added.

Nemetschek is also expanding its engagement with the Philippine architectural profession through collaborations with the Philippine Institute of Architects, the United Architects of the Philippines – Makati CBD Chapter, and the University of Mindanao.

The initiatives cover BIM and openBIM adoption, professional development, knowledge exchange, and architectural education, broadening the company’s focus beyond software adoption to industry-wide digital capabilities.

Vietnam: Building the next generation of talent

In Vietnam, Nemetschek’s partnerships are centered largely on education and workforce development, reflecting the growing importance of digital skills as construction becomes more model-based and data-driven.

The company is engaging with the Vietnamese-German University, Van Lang University, Lac Hong University, Ho Chi Minh City College of Architecture and Construction, Hanoi Architectural University, and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.

The focus extends beyond proficiency in individual software applications to understanding how digital information is structured, exchanged, and validated across disciplines and used throughout a project’s lifecycle.

Nemetschek has also entered a three-year collaboration with Hanoi Architectural University (HAU). The partnership will provide educational access to selected Nemetschek solutions, including Archicad, ALLPLAN, Solibri, Vectorworks, and Bluebeam.

It will also explore curriculum development, student internships, industry attachments for lecturers, and joint forums, seminars, and workshops.

“The next generation of built environment professionals will need more than proficiency in individual software tools,” said Hanoi Architectural University rector Vu Ngoc Anh.

“They will need to understand how digital information is created, exchanged, and used across disciplines and throughout a project’s lifecycle. Our collaboration with Nemetschek Group will help us bring more of that industry context into education and give students and faculty greater exposure to the workflows shaping professional practice,” he added.

Building a connected Southeast Asian ecosystem

The Philippines and Vietnam initiatives add to Nemetschek Group’s expanding presence in Southeast Asia, following partnerships with the Institute of Technical Education and Singapore Polytechnic in Singapore focused on artificial intelligence, BIM, and digital delivery capabilities.

The company said the initiatives reflect a shift from adopting individual software tools toward creating the technical skills, standards, and workflows needed for digital delivery at scale.

For Nemetschek, the Southeast Asian market represents an opportunity to help construction and design firms move toward more connected approaches to designing, delivering, and operating buildings, rather than simply replacing paper-based processes with digital tools.

Nemetschek Group is a global construction AI leader and software provider driving the digital transformation of the architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AEC/O), and media industries.
