FFCCCII elects Victor Lim as top leader
The Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) elected Victor Lim as its new president on Sunday, capping a three-day national convention where more than 800 delegates from 170 chambers cast their votes under SGV Group’s supervision.
Lim, president and chief executive of Veco Paper Corporation and Everwealth Traders and Development Corporation, takes over from outgoing leader Cecilio Pedro, whose 2023-2025 term focused on post-pandemic recovery and digital transformation for the 71-year-old business coalition.
A chemical engineering graduate of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Lim brings decades of leadership in manufacturing, trade groups, and education advocacy, including prior roles as FFCCCII executive vice president and head of multiple industry associations.
The convention at SMX Convention Center also saw real estate executive Jeffrey Ng elected executive vice president, while billionaire Lucio Tan retains his chairman emeritus position. His son Michael Tan was re-elected vice president alongside 14 others, completing a leadership slate that includes treasurer Willy Limbonhai and auditor Parros Poon.
Established in 1954, the FFCCCII has built over 6,400 rural schools and conducts 88 annual medical missions nationwide. The group remains a key force in business advocacy, disaster relief, and preserving Filipino-Chinese heritage.
Lim’s background — including leadership roles at St. Stephen’s High School and family trade associations — aligns with the federation’s motto of “Business Excellence with Social Responsibility.”
