New Gordon Ramsay restaurants to open in Cebu
Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. (TIHGI), the operator behind Manila’s Newport World Resorts, is expanding its footprint in the Philippines with the launch of two new Gordon Ramsay restaurant concepts at Mactan Newtown in Cebu.
This follows the success of the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines, which opened at Newport World Resorts in Parañaque City in late 2024.
The two new restaurants, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay, are slated to open by mid-2025.
Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips will offer a fast-casual dining experience with unique twists on the British classic, featuring options like Lobster & Shrimp, Dirty Chips, and handmade milkshakes.
Just next door, Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay will offer a bold reimagining of the American diner, with menu highlights such as the Idiot Burger, G.F.C. (Gordon’s Fried Chicken) Burger, and O.G.R. Burger.
According to TIHGI executive chairman Kevin Tan, “Cebu is a dynamic center of tourism in the Philippines and our township in Mactan Island is the perfect tourism hub in a prime location near the airport.”
With the addition of Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay, Tan adds, “We will introduce dynamic dining concepts that will further enhance the township’s appeal, not just for visitors, but also for the growing community who live and work there.”
Located in a prime beachfront area, Mactan Newtown is a 30-hectare township developed by TIHGI’s sister company Megaworld. The township is a growing hub for both business and leisure, offering two hotels with a total of 1,100 rooms, residential and office towers, and an array of other amenities.
The development is also set to see a significant boost in 2026, with the construction of a $400-million casino and hotel complex.
