Tesla opens first store in Phl
Tesla has officially launched in the Philippines with the opening of its first Tesla Experience Center at Uptown Bonifacio in Taguig City.
Isabel Fan, Tesla’s regional director, expressed excitement about the expansion, highlighting the company’s commitment to promoting global electric vehicle adoption as it enters the Philippine market.
“Tesla has presence in about 50 countries around the world. We pick our preferences. So I pick the Philippines as the next new market in the world,” she said.
In its debut in the country, Tesla launched the Model 3 and Model Y, with prices ranging from P2.1 million to P3.3 million, depending on the selected features.
“It’s the most affordable. I don’t see any car in this range or this pedigree with this kind of pricing. It’s gonna wow the market,” Fan added.
Additionally, Tesla is set to open the Tesla Design Studio in the Philippines, allowing Filipinos to personalize their vehicles’ exterior, interior, and select features.
The first deliveries of Tesla cars are expected to take place in the second quarter of next year.
Meanwhile, Kevin Tan, CEO of Alliance Global Group, welcomed Tesla as a new tenant at Megaworld’s Uptown Parade, highlighting the partnership as a significant milestone.
He also revealed that the first Tesla Supercharger Station will soon open at Uptown Mall, with plans for more to be rolled out across Megaworld’s properties.
“They will deploy their charging stations all over our malls and our properties,” Tan said.
Supercharging is available at P19 per kilowatt-hour, with a full charge costing approximately P1,140.
