There came a point in every Oktoberfest night when sitting back was no longer an option. From October 28 to 31, Newport World Resorts brought that feeling to The Ballroom of Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts, where four nights of Bavarian food, flowing beer, live music, games, and late-night revelry marked the fourth year of its annual Oktoberfest celebration.

The evening began around long communal tables, with Weihenstephaner on tap and a Bavarian feast prepared for sharing. Weiss, Wheat, and Dunkel were served alongside traditional laugen pretzels, German breads and sausages, crispy pork knuckle, schnitzel, and other hearty dishes. Desserts included Oktoberfest favorites such as apple strudel and Kaiserschmarrn.
As the evening progressed, the music picked up. Returning from Bavaria, AnTon Showband brought the sounds of Oktoberfest into the ballroom with familiar Bavarian tunes, international favorites, sing-alongs and performances that drew guests into the festivities.

The celebration soon moved beyond the feast. Stein holding tested how long guests could keep a full stein at arm’s length, while beer chugging put speed to the test. Hammerschlagen added another round of friendly competition as crowds cheered participants from across the ballroom.
Each night also came with a major prize. Across the four-day celebration, two Suzuki motorcycles and two Lambretta scooters were raffled off, with one prize awarded each evening. A Suzuki motorcycle went up for grabs on October 28 and 29, followed by a Lambretta scooter on October 30 and 31.

The final AnTon Showband set did not signal the end of the night. DJ Badkiss took over later in the evening, shifting the mood from Bavarian sing-alongs to a contemporary party and keeping guests on their feet. The October 31 celebration offered a different way to mark Halloween, blending steins, Bavarian traditions, and late-night revelry.
That progression had become a defining feature of Oktoberfest at Newport World Resorts over the past four years. A meal around the table turned into a sing-along, friendly competitions drew cheers from across the ballroom, and another Prost brought friends and strangers together. Familiar traditions welcomed returning guests, while the mix of food, music, games, and entertainment gave first-time attendees plenty of reasons to join the celebration.
