Web3 movers take spotlight at Philippine Block Awards 2025
The Blockchain Council of the Philippines recognized the country’s leading Web3 innovators at the Block Awards 2025, held on June 11 during Philippine Blockchain Week in Manila.
The annual awards ceremony recognized 10 individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the nation’s fast-growing blockchain ecosystem—spanning education, community building, regional development, and regulatory leadership.
Among the top honorees were CoinsPH, which took home the award for Best Web3 Customer Experience, and Coach Miranda Miner, named Blockchain Educator of the Year for his impact on financial literacy and crypto education.
Regional excellence was also recognized with Eliezer Rabadon (Luzon), Kookoo Crypto (Visayas), and the Davao Defi Community (Mindanao) earning top honors as blockchain champions in their respective areas.
Other winners included Viridian Technologies for Most Innovative Blockchain Project, Cryptita Plays for Outstanding Web3 Community, and Gelo Wong as Web3 Youth Advocate.
The Leader of the Year award was shared by two key figures in Philippine regulation: former Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) undersecretary Jocelle Sigue and former Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chairperson Emilio Aquino.

Beyond recognition, the awards also offered a rare artistic tribute, made possible through a landmark partnership with digital art platform Scarletbox.
Each recipient was gifted a limited-edition collaborative artwork that fused the bold abstractions of National Artist for Visual Arts Jose Joya with expressive flourishes from his grandnephew, contemporary artist Andre Baldovino.
The pieces, produced as museum-grade giclée prints with matching non-fungible tokens (NFTs), were presented as both trophies and timeless heirlooms—embodying the intersection of Philippine heritage and blockchain innovation.
