The Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA) Inc. recently wrapped up its much-anticipated Real Estate Developers Golf Cup 2025 at the prestigious Wack Wack Golf and Country Club.

More than 100 industry leaders gathered for the event, which not only showcased top golfing talent but also served as a key networking opportunity for stakeholders in property development, government, banking, and allied industries.

The tournament opened with a ceremonial tee-off by SHDA national president, Engr. Francis Richmond Villegas; SHDA Central Luzon chapter president and golf tournament chair John Paul Dy; Philippine Guarantee Corporation president and chief executive Alberto Pascual; and Organization of Socialized and Economic Housing Developers of the Philippines Inc. president Charlie Brown Tan.

This year’s competition honored standout players across multiple categories. Richie Lirio claimed the Low Net Champion title, while Jason Barcelon secured the Low Gross Champion spot. In Class A, Max De Leon took home the championship, with Ditto Reyes and Rico Comia finishing as 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively. Timothy Dalton Lim was crowned the Class B champion, with Jing Panelo and Andrew Lam following as 1st and 2nd runners-up. Sherwin Uy triumphed in Class C, with Shane Lloyd Bucat and Alberto Pascual taking the 1st and 2nd runner-up spots.

Special awards highlighted individual feats: Noel Rios won Nearest to the Pin (4 feet), Jason Tse Go earned Longest Drive (264 yards, Hole No. 10), Adrian Rios secured the Most Accurate Drive (1 yard, Hole No. 13), and Gary De Guzman claimed Longest Putt (44 feet, Hole No. 18).

Beyond the competition, the SHDA Golf Cup provided a valuable platform for industry leaders to collaborate on the future of housing and real estate in the Philippines.

“The real estate industry thrives on strong partnerships, and events like the SHDA Golf Cup create the perfect setting to build and nurture these relationships,” Engr. Villegas said. “It’s through collaboration and shared experiences that we continue to reinforce our collective goal of providing better housing solutions for Filipinos,” he added.

SHDA chairman, Archt. Leonardo Dayao Jr., echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of such events in strengthening ties within the industry. “Events like the SHDA Golf Cup allow us to connect, collaborate, and work together on solutions that drive the future of housing and real estate in the Philippines. It strengthens our ties with members and industry leaders, helping us to advance our shared goals.”

Looking ahead, SHDA is preparing for two major upcoming events: its 55th Anniversary Celebration and the National Developers Convention, where industry leaders will discuss the key trends and challenges shaping the future of the Philippine real estate sector.
