FFCCCII hosts national convention with focus on prosperity through technology and innovation
The Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) is hosting its 34th Biennial National Convention from April 3 to 6, gathering over 170 Filipino-Chinese chambers and diverse business associations from across the nation.
The event, centered on the theme “Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship: Keys to Prosperity,” aims to foster collaboration and progress among Filipino-Chinese entrepreneurs.
In a heartfelt message, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. underscored the long-standing ties between the Filipino and Chinese communities, commending the FFCCCII for its 71-year legacy of significant socioeconomic contributions.
“Your success exemplifies the potential of our combined cultures and promises a harmonious, prosperous future,” Marcos said, lauding the federation’s role in nation-building and its vision for a Bagong Filipinas.
Vice President Sara Duterte also emphasized the importance of the convention’s focus on technology and innovation, calling these factors key to economic resilience. She praised the FFCCCII’s Operation: Barrio Schools, the country’s largest private-sector-led school-building initiative, and urged continued collaboration to empower entrepreneurs nationwide.
“Ang lahat ng ginagawa natin ay para sa Diyos, sa bayan, at sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino,” Duterte affirmed.
For over 1,000 years, the Filipino-Chinese community has played a vital role in shaping the Philippines through trade, philanthropy, and fostering social harmony.
The FFCCCII, led by its president Dr. Cecilio Pedro, continues to champion this mission with projects like the donation of over 6,500 school buildings under Operation Barrio Schools, nationwide volunteer fire brigades and disaster relief efforts, and advocacy for inclusive growth and policy reforms.
The convention highlights strategies to drive innovation, global competitiveness, and equitable development across the country.
“Together, let’s harness technology and entrepreneurship to propel our nation forward,” Pedro said, reaffirming his motto, “Dugong Tsino, Pusong Pinoy,” which reflects the community’s unwavering dedication to the Philippines.
